Pacific Treatment Alternatives
History Pacific Treatment Alternatives (PTA) was initially incorporated as "The Drug Abuse Council
of Everett", a Washington State corporation, in 1969. Various community
members
formed
the Council to address the increasing street drug use among young
people in
Everett. Community members were from the Everett School District, Luther Child
Center, the Everett Police Department, the medical profession and others. Pacific Treatment Alternatives operated a volunteer-staffed drop-in center. Eventually grant
funding was obtained from Since its inception, the agency has served over 100,000 Snohomish County residents. Mission Statement Pacific Treatment Alternatives will continue to be a leader Board of Directors The Board currently consists of dedicated volunteers from throughout Snohomish County. Members include several educators, a pharmacist, a technical writer, a Boeing administrator, a medical provider and others. Through their leadership, the agency continues to provide professional services to community members in need. |
